Cooking Method

Step 1: Prepare Dough
 

  •  Mix flour with a pinch of salt and 1 tbsp oil. 
  •  Add water gradually and knead into a firm dough. 
  •  Cover and let it rest for 20 minutes. 


Step 2: Prepare Vegetable Filling
 

  •  Heat oil in a pan. 
  •  Add chopped onions and sauté until soft. 
  •  Add ginger paste and cook for a minute. 
  •  Add carrots and peas; cook for 3–4 minutes. 
  •  Add boiled potatoes, garam masala, and salt. 
  •  Mix well and cook until the filling is dry and flavorful. 
  •  Let it cool completely. 


Step 3: Shape Singara
 

  •  Divide dough into small balls and roll into thin circles. 
  •  Cut into halves and form cone shapes. 
  •  Fill with vegetable mixture and seal edges with water. 


Step 4: Fry Singara
 

  •  Heat oil on medium-low flame. 
  •  Deep fry until golden brown and crispy. 


Step 5: Serve
 

  •  Serve hot with mint chutney, tamarind chutney, or ketchup.
