Oreo Truffles Recipe | Easy No-Bake Chocolate Oreo Balls
Oreo Truffles are an easy no-bake dessert made with crushed chocolate sandwich cookies and cream cheese, shaped into bite-sized balls and coated in melted chocolate. Rich, creamy, and intensely chocolatey, these homemade Oreo balls are perfect for parties, holidays, birthdays, bake sales, and family gatherings. The smooth chocolate coating creates a delicious contrast with the soft cookie-and-cream center. With only a few simple ingredients and minimal preparation, Oreo Truffles are a fun dessert that can be made ahead and customized with white chocolate drizzle, sprinkles, or crushed cookies.
Cooking Method
- Place the chocolate sandwich cookies in a food processor and pulse until they become fine crumbs.
- Add the softened cream cheese and process until a smooth, thick mixture forms.
- Scoop out portions of the mixture and roll into approximately 1-inch (2.5 cm) balls.
- Place the Oreo balls on a parchment-lined baking tray.
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes until firm.
- Melt the semi-sweet chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 20–30 second intervals, stirring between each interval until smooth.
- Dip each chilled Oreo ball into the melted chocolate, coating it completely. Use a fork to lift it out and allow excess chocolate to drip away.
- Return the coated truffles to the parchment-lined tray.
- Drizzle with melted white chocolate and add crushed cookies or sprinkles if desired.
- Refrigerate for another 15–20 minutes, or until the chocolate coating is completely set. Serve chilled or slightly softened.
