Cooking Method


  1.  In a small bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it stand for 5–10 minutes until foamy. 
  2.  In a large bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. 
  3.  Add the yeast mixture, eggs, butter, and vanilla extract. 
  4.  Mix until a soft dough forms. 
  5.  Knead the dough for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic. 
  6.  Place the dough into a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1–1½ hours, or until doubled in size. 
  7.  Roll the dough to about ½ inch (1.25 cm) thick and cut out donuts using a donut cutter. 
  8.  Arrange the donuts on a parchment-lined tray, cover, and allow them to rise again for 30–45 minutes
  9.  Heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C)
  10.  Fry the donuts for 1–2 minutes per side, until golden brown. 
  11.  Transfer to a wire rack and let them cool slightly for 3–5 minutes
  12.  Place the powdered sugar in a large bowl or paper bag and gently toss the warm donuts until evenly coated. 
  13.  Serve immediately while fresh and fluffy.
