Kalakand

 Kalakand is a popular Indian sweet known for its soft, grainy texture and rich milky taste. Made from reduced milk and paneer (chenna), this delicious dessert is mildly sweet and flavored with cardamom. Kalakand is often garnished with chopped nuts and is widely enjoyed during festivals, celebrations, and special occasions. 

Cooking Method

 

Heat milk in a heavy-bottom pan and bring it to a boil. 

 Add lemon juice to curdle the milk slightly and form a grainy texture. 

 Continue cooking the mixture on low flame. 

 Add sugar and mix well until it dissolves completely. 

 Cook until the mixture thickens and moisture reduces. 

 Add cardamom powder and mix thoroughly. 

 Grease a tray and spread the mixture evenly. 

 Garnish with chopped pistachios and almonds, let it set, then cut into pieces.
