In a bowl, combine gram flour (besan) with spices and salt.
Add a little water to make a thick batter.
Add sliced vegetables like onion, potato, spinach, or cauliflower.
Mix well to coat all vegetables evenly.
Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
Drop small portions of the mixture into hot oil.
Fry until golden brown and crispy.
Remove and drain excess oil on paper towels.
Serve hot with green chutney or tamarind sauce.
