In a bowl, mix whole wheat flour and salt.
Gradually add water and knead into a soft dough.
Cover and let the dough rest for 10–15 minutes.
Divide the dough into equal portions and roll into balls.
Roll each ball into a small circle, apply a little oil or ghee, and fold into layers.
Roll again into a flat round shape.
Heat a tawa on medium flame and place the paratha on it.
Cook both sides, applying ghee or oil, until golden brown and crisp.
Serve hot with curd, pickle, or your favorite curry.
