Spicy paprika fries are crispy, golden, and bursting with bold smoky flavor. These homemade fries are coated with a blend of paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and herbs before being baked or air-fried to perfection. The result is a crunchy exterior, fluffy interior, and a delicious balance of smoky, spicy, and savory seasonings that make every bite irresistible.

Perfect as a side dish, appetizer, or snack, Spicy Paprika Fries pair wonderfully with burgers, grilled chicken, steaks, sandwiches, wraps, or can be enjoyed on their own with your favorite dipping sauces such as spicy mayo, ketchup, garlic aioli, ranch, or chipotle sauce.

This easy recipe uses simple pantry ingredients and delivers restaurant-style fries with less oil than traditional deep-frying. Soaking the potatoes before cooking helps create extra crispy fries, while the paprika seasoning gives them their signature smoky color and rich flavor. Whether you're hosting a party, preparing a family dinner, or craving a satisfying snack, these crispy Spicy Paprika Fries are sure to become a favorite.

Ready in under an hour, this homemade recipe is simple, flavorful, and perfect for anyone who loves crispy fries with a little extra heat.

Cooking Method

  1.  Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) or air fryer to 400°F (200°C)
  2.  Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes, then drain and pat completely dry.
  3.  Toss the potatoes with olive oil, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and oregano.
  4.  Arrange the fries in a single layer on a baking tray or air fryer basket.
  5.  Bake for 35–40 minutes (or air-fry for 18–20 minutes), turning halfway through until crispy and golden.
  6.  Remove from the oven and garnish with parsley, chili flakes, or Parmesan cheese if desired.
  7.  Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
