Dulet is a traditional Ethiopian delicacy made with finely chopped beef, liver, tripe, and aromatic spices. Popular in Ethiopia, this flavorful dish is known for its rich taste, hearty texture, and bold seasoning. It is often enjoyed as a special meal and is commonly served in traditional Ethiopian restaurants and homes.

The dish combines minced meat and organ meats with onions, peppers, garlic, and berbere spice, creating a savory and spicy flavor profile. Some versions also include niter kibbeh (spiced clarified butter), which adds depth and richness. Dulet is typically served hot alongside Injera, allowing diners to scoop up the flavorful mixture with pieces of bread.

Rich in protein and packed with traditional Ethiopian flavors, Dulet offers an authentic taste of Ethiopia’s diverse culinary heritage.

Cooking Method

  1.  Heat the niter kibbeh in a large skillet over medium heat.

  5.  Cook while stirring until the meats are fully cooked.
  6.  Sprinkle with berbere spice, salt, and black pepper.
  7.  Mix thoroughly to coat the meat evenly with the spices.
