 General Tso's Chicken is a beloved Chinese-inspired dish featuring crispy fried chicken pieces coated in a rich, glossy sauce with the perfect balance of sweet, savory, tangy, and mildly spicy flavors. Cooking Method


  1.  Season the chicken with salt and black pepper. 
  2.  Dip each piece into the beaten eggs, then coat evenly with cornstarch. 
  3.  Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan to 175°C (350°F). 
  4.  Fry the chicken in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5–6 minutes. 
  5.  Remove and drain on paper towels. 
  6.  In a saucepan, combine the soy sauce, rice vinegar, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and chili flakes. 
  7.  Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer over medium heat. 
  8.  Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook until the sauce thickens. 
  9.  Add the crispy chicken to the sauce and toss until every piece is well coated. 
  10.  Garnish with sliced spring onions and sesame seeds. 
  11.  Serve immediately with steamed rice or noodles.
