Manti | Traditional Turkish Dumplings with Garlic Yogurt
Manti are small, tender Turkish dumplings traditionally filled with seasoned ground beef or lamb and served with creamy garlic yogurt and fragrant paprika butter. These bite-sized dumplings are one of the most beloved comfort foods in Turkish cuisine and are especially popular for family meals and special occasions.
The dough is rolled thin, cut into small squares, and carefully folded around a savory meat filling. After boiling until tender, the Manti are topped with cool, tangy garlic yogurt and finished with warm butter infused with paprika and dried mint. The combination of tender dumplings, creamy yogurt, and aromatic spiced butter creates a rich and satisfying dish with contrasting flavors and textures.
Although shaping the dumplings takes some time, homemade Manti are well worth the effort. Serve them hot with extra dried mint, sumac, or paprika for a traditional Turkish-style presentation.
