Cooking Method
- Drain the soaked fava beans thoroughly and pat them dry.
- Add the beans, onion, garlic, parsley, coriander, cumin, coriander powder, salt, and black pepper to a food processor.
- Blend until you have a fine, coarse-textured mixture. Do not make it completely smooth.
- Transfer the mixture to a bowl and stir in the baking powder.
- Cover and refrigerate for 20–30 minutes to help the mixture firm up.
- Shape the mixture into small round or slightly flattened patties.
- Heat enough oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
- Carefully fry the Tamia in batches until crisp and golden brown on both sides.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with flatbread, vegetables, tahini sauce, or your favorite dipping sauce.
