Classic Egg Salad is a simple, creamy, and satisfying dish made with hard-boiled eggs, mayonnaise, mustard, and fresh seasonings. The tender eggs create a rich texture, while mustard and a splash of lemon juice add a pleasant tang. Finely chopped celery or green onions provide a little crunch, making this traditional salad both flavorful and easy to enjoy.
Perfect for sandwiches, toast, wraps, or a light lunch, homemade egg salad requires just a handful of everyday ingredients. It can be prepared ahead of time and chilled to allow the flavors to blend, making it a convenient option for busy days, picnics, and quick family meals. Serve it over fresh lettuce, spoon it onto crackers, or enjoy it in your favorite sandwich bread.
Cooking Method
- Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover with water.
- Bring the water to a boil, then cover the pan, turn off the heat, and let the eggs stand for 10–12 minutes.
