Chermoula is a traditional Moroccan herb sauce known for its vibrant green colour and bold Mediterranean and North African flavours. Prepared with fresh coriander, parsley, garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, and aromatic spices, this versatile sauce offers a delicious balance of freshness, citrusy tang, and gentle heat. Ground cumin, coriander, and paprika add depth, while fresh herbs give it a bright and fragrant character.
This easy homemade chermoula can be used as a marinade for fish, seafood, chicken, and vegetables or served as a dipping sauce alongside grilled dishes and warm flatbread. Its thick, flavourful texture makes it a wonderful addition to everyday meals. Prepare it in advance and allow the flavours to blend before serving for an even richer taste.
