Prepare the Dough: Add whole wheat flour and salt to a large mixing bowl.
Add Water: Gradually pour in warm water while mixing until a soft dough forms.
Knead Well: Add cooking oil and knead the dough for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Rest the Dough: Cover with a damp kitchen towel and let it rest for 20–30 minutes.
Divide into Balls: Divide the dough into 8–10 equal portions and roll each portion into a smooth ball.
Roll the Rotis: Dust a rolling surface with flour and roll each ball into a thin, round wrapper.
Heat the Pan: Place a tawa or flat non-stick pan over medium heat.
Cook the Wrappers: Cook each roti for approximately 30–40 seconds on one side, then flip and cook the other side until light brown spots appear. Avoid overcooking to keep them soft and flexible.
Keep Them Soft: Stack the cooked wrappers and cover them with a clean kitchen towel.
Serve: Use the warm roti wrappers for paneer rolls, vegetable wraps, chicken rolls, or other delicious fillings.
