Maple Butter Recipe | Creamy Homemade Maple Spread

0 likes 0 reviews 37 views

Maple Butter, also known as Maple Cream, is a smooth, rich, and naturally sweet spread made entirely from pure maple syrup. Despite its name, it contains no dairy butter. This luxurious spread has a silky texture and concentrated maple flavor, making it perfect for toast, pancakes, waffles, biscuits, pastries, and desserts.

Made by carefully heating and cooling pure maple syrup before whipping it into a creamy consistency, Maple Butter transforms liquid syrup into a spreadable treat. The result is a velvety, caramel-like spread with a deep maple flavor and a melt-in-your-mouth texture.

Maple Butter is a popular specialty product in regions known for maple syrup production, especially in Canada and parts of the United States. It is a delicious addition to breakfast tables and gourmet gift baskets.

Cooking Method

Pour the maple syrup into a deep saucepan.
Heat over medium heat until it reaches 112°C (234°F).
Remove from heat immediately.
Cool the syrup without stirring until it reaches approximately 38–43°C (100–110°F).
Begin stirring or whipping the syrup continuously.
Continue mixing until the syrup becomes lighter in color and thickens into a creamy consistency.
Transfer the maple butter to clean jars or containers.
Refrigerate until fully set.
